Gratitude Tree

Posted in Holidays

Each year, we try to make up a different Gratitude Tree. It helps us really focus on being thankful throughout the month of November. Sometimes, when the preparations for the holidays begin, we start to lose focus on what Thanksgiving is all about. Stress and frustration begins to creep in while tempers at times flare. Instead of having a grateful, servant’s heart, we start to focus on “what about me”.

Gratitude Tree

This year, I created a tree and leaves from scrapbook paper. Munchkin, D, and I have been writing all of the things for which we are grateful. Our once bare tree is now starting to look more full and colorful. I even had to make more leaves when Munchkin decided to have a very grateful day.

I am thankful for simple things like a gratitude tree that allow us to focus on staying grateful for all things big and small during the holiday season.

This post is part of the Gratitude Challenge, and a Month of Thanksgiving.

  3. Thanks for sharing this Heather! It reminds me of a Valentine tree we did one year that was similar, only hearts instead of leaves. What good memories your daughter will have. Thanks for your visit today! Blessings to you.

  4. We’ve done a tree in the past. This year we have a gratitude wall. It is filling up pretty fast and so many different colors. I’m loving it. I even put up what I post for this gratitude challenge.

  8. I love this! We’re going to do a Christmas tree this year, with “gifts” to try and offset the commercial bombardment all around us.
