Tropical Traditions Powdered Laundry Detergent
I am very particular about laundry detergent around our house. We have sensitive skin, and we’re sensitive to strong smells. I admit that I was a bit hesitant to try out the powdered laundry detergent from Tropical Traditions even though it stated that it was free from dyes, perfumes, fillers or phosphates. I prefer to use non-toxic laundry detergents, and this fit the bill. I decided to give it a try.
Sometimes the eco-friendly laundry detergents don’t get clothes quite as clean as normal detergents, so that was a bit of a concern. Thankfully, the concern was unwarranted as each load of clothes came out nice and clean. I believe this has something to do with the oxygen bleach destainer in the detergent.
The detergent does have some scent to it, so even though it doesn’t have any perfumes added, it does have a bit of a fragrance to it. It’s not overpowering, but for us, it was noticeable.
The 5 lb. container is sure to last us for awhile because we only need 1/8th of a cup for our front-loading washer.
