Blogger Friends School #2 {Sweet Dreams}

Posted in Blogging, Fun, Homeschooling, and Thoughts

My most comfortable place to blog is sitting in bed surrounded by comfy pillows. Sometimes, when the air is cool, I enjoy sitting out on the deck to listen to all of the wildlife and enjoy God’s creation. Once again, I am unable to complete the assignment as I’m still not able to upload pictures. Hopefully, I’ll have my laptop home soon. “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation on my heart, be acceptable in they sight, O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.” Psalms 19:14

Question 1: Brief introduction into why I started blogging and my goals for journaling.I started blogging as a way to keep friends and family updated on how we were doing and what was going on in our lives. Blogging has become a method for me to journal and keep track of different things going on in our lives. I’m bad about actually writing in a journal, so blogging has become a fun way to journal. Tiny Treats

Posted in Family, Homeschooling, and Thoughts

After seeing the fun Tiny Treats featured in Family Fun magazine, we decided that these would be perfect for Munchkin’s American girl doll collection. Today’s tackle is a different sort of tackle for us. The tackle all stems from our studies today and some reading that Munchkin has been doing… Our first tackle was running to the grocery store to get the ingredients that she needed to make her new recipes from the Incredible Edible Gluten Free Food for Kids book that she’s reading. She wrote out a grocery list and figured out what all we needed to purchase and what we already had in the pantry/kitchen. At the grocery store, she had the list and pushed the cart through the store. Then she…

Change in Plans

We use the Weaver curriculum in our homeschooling and LOVE it, but we’re taking a little break from it for a little bit. We started the Prairie Primer this week. The Prairie Primer is a unit study based on the Little House series. Grandma was kind enough to give munchkin the complete Little House series, so we have them available. We were also able to find the Little House cookbook, so that should be a fun addition. So, today, we started our new adventure into Laura’s life. The most interesting thing that we learned today was that they used the…
