Tackle It Tuesday Meme

Today’s tackle is a different sort of tackle for us. The tackle all stems from our studies today and some reading that Munchkin has been doing…

Our first tackle was running to the grocery store to get the ingredients that she needed to make her new recipes from the Incredible Edible Gluten Free Food for Kids book that she’s reading. She wrote out a grocery list and figured out what all we needed to purchase and what we already had in the pantry/kitchen. At the grocery store, she had the list and pushed the cart through the store. Then she did everything (but pay) at the self-checkout including bagging the groceries.

Our next tackle will be making up a daily chore chart. Ma (in the Little House books) had a certain chore that she did for each day of the week. Munchkin has decided that this would be a good idea for us, so we’ll be making up our own chart. We will also be making up an individual chore chart for Munchkin. She had one at the other house, but I haven’t made up a new one since we moved. I decided that we would make one up together this time. Since Daddy isn’t around, I will be having her help out more around the house.

I also need to tackle getting together the Tupperware Surprise Pack that I need to send out as well as another package that needs to be sent to my sister. I’m really bad about getting to the post office since it takes so long there. I will be getting it done this week though…

Ma’s Chore saying (from Little House in the Big Woods):

“Wash on Monday,
Iron on Tuesday,
Mend on Wednesday,
Churn on Thursday,
Clean on Friday,
Bake on Saturday,
Rest on Sunday.”

Hi. I am out visiting all the folks who entered my contest last week.

For several months I used a cleaning chart like you are talkign about. It works GREAT–I just got bored with doing the same thing all the time. Good luck with that!

I have been working on a chore list of my own… I am tired of not being organized.
