Thankful Thursday: Separation

Posted in Family

This week has been an interesting week with so much going on. D left on Sunday for 2 weeks. He’ll be home for a few days, then gone again for another 2 weeks. Munchkin takes these things pretty hard, so there has been a lot of adjustment going on. We came to the new house to prepare it for move-in. So, we’ve been keeping busy. So, this week’s “theme” for my Thankful Thursday is being thankful during times of separation. 1. First and foremost, I am thankful that God watches over us each and every day. He never gives us…

Thankful Thursday: This and That

Wow! We have so much going on right now. My emotions have been all over the place as we were closing on the house last week. This week, munchkin said goodbye to some of her friends. Everything is starting to hit about all that is left to do before we can get to our new location. All of this has lead to a lot of thinking about various things and what is truly important. 1. I’m thankful for good friends. I pray that we will build some wonderful friendships at our new location. 2. I’m thankful that it appears that…

Unfortunately, nothing could have prepared me for the “sticker shock” that hit when they gave me the figure. It was…

Thankful Thursday: Love

It’s that time of year when everyone starts thinking about love and showing you love for those around you. Some people see Valentine’s Day as a made-up holiday just for the card companies to make money. Other’s see Valentine’s Day as an extension of what they do all year long. Still other’s are somewhere in between. I enjoy Valentine’s Day and have fun celebrating it with my family. So, this week’s Thankful Thursday will be focused on love. 1. I am thankful for my Heavenly Father up above who sent down his Son to die with love that I may…

Thankful Thursday: Home

Posted in Family

How many times do we take our homes and the things in our homes for granted? Are we grateful for the things that we have or do we want more? Are we satisfied with what God has blessed us with or do we feel that it’s not good enough? The truth is, if we’re willing to admit it, we all have been guilty of the gimmies. I thought I’d take the time today to really be grateful for the things in my home. 1. I am extremely grateful that I have a laptop computer. Having my laptop allows me the…
