Thankful Thursday: Separation

Posted in Family

This week has been an interesting week with so much going on. D left on Sunday for 2 weeks. He’ll be home for a few days, then gone again for another 2 weeks. Munchkin takes these things pretty hard, so there has been a lot of adjustment going on. We came to the new house to prepare it for move-in. So, we’ve been keeping busy. So, this week’s “theme” for my Thankful Thursday is being thankful during times of separation.

1. First and foremost, I am thankful that God watches over us each and every day. He never gives us more than we can handle (though at times, it may seem otherwise). He provides for our every need. He gave us His Word as a source of guidance.

2. I am thankful that even though D is gone for most of this month, he is not deployed. There are so many men and women that are deployed and separated from their families. Please keep these men and women and their families in your prayers.

3. I am thankful that during this time apart I am able to start preparing our new home for D. While he will not be enjoying it for awhile, he will appreciate what I have done to make it our own.

4. I am thankful for the internet, email, and cell phones so that we can keep in contact no matter where he may be.

5. I am thankful for the companionship of our precious little girl who is doing her best to be helpful.

We’ve had a few bumps in the road this week, but I would be hard pressed not to be thankful for all of the things that have been falling into place. Thank you Lord for your protection and strength at all times.

It must be hard to be separated from your husband and I pray that the time will pass quickly for you all.

Beautiful list. I want you to know that the troops are always in my prayers. My sister is a military wife, so I often pray for strength for military spouses during those separations.

What a blessing to know that God hears the prayers, and watches and guides no matter where we are!

It is pretty hard when our loved ones have to left us for a whiel isnt it even more so when our Daddies leave us. Daniel my youngest hates it on Sundays when his daddys goes home for the week.

Isnt it good our God is our protector and our provider.

The internet is so good. The other day when I was party hopping I reflected on the fact that I can contact people on the other side of the world so fast.

Yaye muchkin is still being helpful did she do a good job the other day? Bless her. Its nice when they want to help.

    Have a good week 🙂

It is indeed wonderful that your DH is not deployed like so many other soldiers. Thank you for reminding us today to pray for them and their families.

Thank you so much for sharing your thankful list today.

    Blessings to you and yours.

May god bless you and see you through this time in your life. Oh, the life of a military wife! Great list, though. Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind words.

This was a wonderfully inspiring post. I admire you woman who go it alonde for stretches at a time. I can not even imagine. The wonderful attitude you are displaying is such a gift though, not only to help you stay positive but what a gift to your husband to help him feel reassured that you will be ok when he is gone!

    Bless you-
