1. I’m thankful for good friends. I pray that we will build some wonderful friendships at our new location.
2. I’m thankful that it appears that we are going to have nice new neighbors. They closed on their house the same day that we did. We met the father and step-son on Saturday. They appeared to be very nice.
3. I’m thankful that everything went well at closing. With all of the craziness last week, it was nice to have an easy closing.
4. I’m thankful for all of the encouragement that I’ve received from fellow bloggers. It’s such a blessing to read the encouraging comments.
5. I’m thankful that the Lord has been providing for us along the way. It’s been wonderful watching Him open (and close) doors along this moving journey. We look forward to seeing Him continue to work through the rest of this move.
6. I’m thankful that my daughter (while a bit upset about leaving her friends) is keeping a bright attitude about the move.
7. I’m thankful for God’s word that offers so much encouragement and wisdom.
8. I’m thankful for my faith. I don’t know how people get through difficult times without God…
Last week, when I was posting, it was more difficult to think of ways to be thankful. This week, while I have a lot on my plate, I finding it much easier to be thankful. I’m tired and feeling a bit under the weather, but I know that the Lord will give me the strength that I need to get through the packing, moving, and unpacking. I pray that each of you finds the strength that you need to have a wonderful week.
As an Army brat, I know what it’s like to move around and all of the stresses that it adds…
In regards to your daughter, I always hated moving, but I did have a bright attitude — just wait until she’s older…then when you move it’s all about there being new boys!!!!
I’m actually grateful that we did move quite a bit as a kid as it taught me to be outgoing and meet new friends… 🙂
Good luck with everything!
Heather
I love your list! I am also feeling tired this week but found it easier to be thankful all at the same time! God is good! Blessings
Great list! It’s always hard transitioning to a new duty station. I know because I’m going through it right now. But, God always provides.
Have s great day!

Such a beautiful, and very grateful list.
How exciting, new adventures!! I enjoyed reading your list. And I with you some weeks it is just difficult to be thankful, but I find that is when I need to write even more. Blessings.
Wow, God surely blessed you this week. Prayer is so very powerful. I pray your daughter has a smooth transition. I am also a military brat (Air Force) plus wife (years ago), so my prayers are with all of you. I have NEVER regretted seeing as much of the world as God gave me opportunity and never regretted all the schools I attended. In fact, I only desire to see more.
Hugs!
I am so glad that the closing went smooth after your ordeal last week. I have to totally agree with you–I don’t know either how people great through the bumps in the road called life, without Him and His strength…
Thank you for sharing your thankfulness with us this week.
Blessings to you and yours.
What a wonderful attitude you have in the face of such HUGE tasks!
I will be praying for you and your family as new changes are going to be taking place; some struggles but even more blessings. 🙂
Thank you so much for coming by and commenting on my blog. I’m sure God will lead you to some wonderful new friends and neighbors as you get into your new hope.
Today at our Beth Moore study, we began with a guest who is a Marine. He is leaving Sunday for his 3rd or 4th tour of Iraq. We were able to lay hands on him and pray and it was such a blessings.
Blessings to you and your family too as you serve our country and our God.
Your faith muscle is gtting a work out! But thats how it gets stronger! I was encouraged by your bright attitude.

I believe that God gives us more strength when we are down and really tired and worn out!! He knows that you need HIM more right now with the stress of moving and all!! I am with you on wondering just how to people get along without God. They all must be mighty miserable..Thanks for stopping by.
