This week is the ultimate celebration of life. We are celebrating both the life and the death of Christ. Without Christ’s death and then His resurrection, we would be without hope for the future here on earth and peace for eternal salvation. As we remember the ultimate sacrifice that God and Jesus made many years ago, we also need to treasure the lives we’ve been given here on earth. We never know what tomorrow holds for us. These last few weeks (has it been almost a month?) we’ve lived very simply with just the basics. We’ve had very few clothes, minimal “creature comforts”, no washer/dryer, no beds except for inflatable mattresses… Yet, as I sit here thinking about all of that, I realize that we’ve lived quite comfortably (minus the beds & washer/dryer). I am constantly amazed at what the Lord provides. As you know, I have been very busy working on getting our new house ready for move-in while D has been away. Normally, I would have been sick at least once during this time period. Yet, the Lord has provided a glorious stretch of health for me.
