Thankful Thursday: Health

Posted in Family

I am constantly amazed at what the Lord provides. As you know, I have been very busy working on getting our new house ready for move-in while D has been away. Normally, I would have been sick at least once during this time period. Yet, the Lord has provided a glorious stretch of health for me. So, this week I will be dwelling on this blessing.

* I am so grateful to the Lord for giving me a week of good health to enjoy with my daughter.

* I am grateful that I’ve been able to accomplish most of the things that are on my “to do list” before D comes home for the weekend.

* I am very grateful that D will be home this weekend.

* I am grateful that we have this new house with a beautiful view of the water and all of God’s creatures.

* I am blessed to have the health to be able to play and laugh with my daughter this week.

* We were blessed to meet with some wonderful Christian homeschooling families on Wednesday.

* I am grateful for fellow bloggers who have offered me encouragement throughout this process. What a blessing…

It hasn’t been an easy week though as munchkin really was struggling with Daddy being gone. She had many nights that she couldn’t fall asleep which meant very late nights for both of us. During the day she would be fine, but nights were very difficult.

* Yet, I am grateful that the Lord does provide comfort in times of need.

* I am grateful that we could turn to Him and pray as she softly cried.

* I am grateful that she was able to sleep in, so she could still get her much needed rest. (This is not the norm.)

As we prepare for D’s arrival home for the weekend, we are grateful that we will have this time together as a family before he leaves again. I just met someone today whose husband has been away at different military schools for a year (with brief breaks to see family). He’s on his way home as I type. Praying for a safe journey home to them. We’re grateful that our time apart is not that great.

Thank you Lord for our many blessings. Please give us the strength and comfort that we need. Please keep those who are traveling safe. Please be with those who are ill. Thank you Lord for being our Lord and Savior.

Asking the Father to bless you with continued good health so you can enjoy time with your family. And asking a blessing on you, just because I can!

Kudos to you for seeing that God is with you and for you, not against you. 🙂 I know what it’s like to have kids and Hubby being gone. It’s good to know Who is really our husband isn’t it?

Thank you for sharing about your little ones difficulties with your husband being gone. My husband has been working late for the past 3 weeks until 12AM. My kids have been grumpy and out of sorts. I wasn’t making the connection that it was probably because he was missing. Your post pointed that out to me, so thank you!
