My New Desk

Posted in Family, and Homemaking

D built Munchkin and I matching desks. I was finally able to get my desk painted. I’m hoping to get Munchkin’s desk done soon. I’m thrilled to finally show off D’s handy work. I think he did a great job. We took the handles off old end tables that were heading to the dump. I’d love to say that my desk is always this organized, but I’d be lying. lol! Now, if I could only figure out a way to make it all look more organized underneath the desk. hmmm…

Tackle It Tuesday

Now that Munchkin is older and is helping more with cleaning, I have decided that it’s really time to start looking for less toxic methods of cleaning. Not to mention, the horrible fumes that come from many cleaning products make me feel awful. The main thing is that Munchkin and I worked together and got it finished. Here’s how it turned out:

Busy Weekend

We spent all day Friday working on the deck. D cut and placed all of the wood and I screwed all of the boards down. That was a lot of work. D finished up the stairs on Saturday. Then, we set up the gazebo. We’re so please with how it turned out. It still needs a bit of “decorating”, but it feels good to be done. Now, if it stops raining, we can enjoy it.

Tackle It Tuesday

My project for Tackle It Tuesday will be to finish laying the pavers that we removed from the patio area around the newly created fire pit (I used the old bricks from the steps). I started the project yesterday and hope to complete it today. Yesterday, D spent a bit of time taking out the first layer of brick steps from the back of the house in preparation of putting down the deck. It was a painstaking process even with the proper tools, but he did a great job. He then moved on to laying out the design for the…
