Wordless Wednesday
D is on his way home (finally), so I’ll be taking a blogging break while he’s here. We don’t want to waste any of our precious moments together during this special time. I’ll be back once we’ve bid him farewell. I’ll still be checking my email, so if you need to contact me, you can just shoot me an email. Munchkin doesn’t know that he’s on his way home, so it will be a big surprise for her. She just knew that he’d be home either today or tomorrow. She just figures that he’ll be home tomorrow since it’s already…

Back in August, Alycia wrote about an opportunity to support our troops by making blankets for single Marines returning from Iraq. Since they’re returning in the same time frame that my hubby is leaving, I thought this would be a wonderful thing for Munchkin and I to do to show our support. This year, Munchkin is playing on a Christian homeschool soccer league. She’s having a blast learning the game and just getting out there and playing. She has practices on Friday and games on Saturdays. The good news is that Daddy will actually be able to see a game or two before he deploys!! Her season lasts from September to November. So, we start out toasty and end up freezing (or so I’ve been told). Here are a few pictures. We Scored!!!

“My brothern, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.” James 1:2-5
