I promise that all of the moving tips will soon be a thing of the past (well, until the next move. lol!) One thing that has made things much easier this time is sorting like items together. Now, this means a little more effort up front, but in the long run it makes the moving process much easier. I keep a black marker in my pocket to write what is in the boxes, but I have created printed labels for where the boxes go. I have a sheet (or more) printed for each room, so I can just stick a…

For this weeks WFMW: car edition, I wanted to talk about car organization. If you have kids (or even if you don’t), you know how quickly the car can get messy. It’s good to keep all of your car necessities (jumper cables, extra oil, washer fluid, tow rope…) in one location. I like to keep all of my car care items in a collapsible crate like these in the back of the car. Another great tool for organization is this great kids organizer. We have one of these organizers sitting in between the two seats in the back for all…
Works for Me Wednesday: Kids Garden
Posted in Family, and Homemaking
This year, we’re really trying to grow our own fruits and veggies. While we haven’t had much success in years past, we’re hoping that square foot gardening/container gardening will yield us some crops. My daughter loves to help with gardening, but the large tools are too big for her. Today, I found real, kid size gardening tools. After resting for awhile, I packed up the vehicle and we headed back down to the new house. We’re here and unpacked (again), so that’s why things are behind today. lol! So, on to my tip for today. Now, I know this has been out for awhile, but have you tried the Pam cooking spray with Flour? This stuff is great! No more greasing and sprinkling with flour. It’s an…
Works for Me Wednesday: Laughing & Playing
Posted in Family, and Homemaking
With everything that we have going on right now, playtime and one-on-one time with Munchkin have become essential. And, guess what!! It’s essential for me too! I need that down time. It’s amazing how much better you feel when you have taken out time to really have fun with your child. It’s fun to see munchkin’s face light up with laughter as we’re playing together or reading together. It doesn’t matter what we do as long as it’s quality time together not working. Now, don’t get me wrong, it’s fun to work together as well, but we need that playtime…
