Little did we know at this time last year that D would be going through two back surgeries in one year. I don’t think any of us really understood how much this would impact our lives. Yes, we knew there would be changes, but the extent of the changes weren’t really grasp until we were actually in the trenches going through the process. Now that we are finally through the worst of it (in theory), the rebuilding is beginning. New Year, New Me: Reflections

2011 was a difficult year for our family between D’s two back surgeries, the loss of family members and pets, and a few more things thrown in for good measure, but it was also a time of family bonding. We found ourselves growing together, learning together. We were given the special opportunity to spend some good quality time together. Once I arrive back home this week, I’ll start making some rounds. Thank you for your patience and understanding. I’m finishing the month with most of my goals being met. While the storage closet didn’t get completely purged and sorted, it…

Project 365 – #021 I put this vinyl decal on the wall next to my bed. It’s one of the first things that I see in the morning and the last thing that I see at night. It helps me to remember that God is completely in control, and that anything is possible with the Lord’s help. I need to put my trust in Him as I try to accomplish seemingly impossible tasks during the week. But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. ~Matthew 19:26 We’re in…
