Today, we went to both Sunday School and morning service. We all enjoyed the fellowship and learning in Sunday School, and the service was very good. Munchkin sat with us during the service today and liked that much better than the children’s church program. (Our baby is growing up.) It looks like we’ve found our church home. We’ll continue to attend here and in time, get more involved. They also have an Awana program that we’d like Munchkin to participate in once we get more settled. Homemade Hammock

We received this hammock stand from someone who no longer needed it. I gladly took it as we’ve (munchkin and I) always wanted a hammock, but I knew that hammocks where not cheap. I decided that I would make a hammock. I just needed to find some inexpensive, but good material. I lucked out and found this material for only $1 a yard. I was able to make the hammock and three matching pillows for only $3. I think it turned out pretty well. We had to buy some hardware to hang the hammock for about $5 or so. So,…
Strawberry Pie

I started out with 2 buckets of strawberries and ended up with this nice, large bowl of strawberries. Some have been frozen for use later. Some have been eaten. Some were turned into 2 yummy strawberry pies! The key to this strawberry pie recipe is patience before eating as it really does need to set for a few hours at least (overnight is even better). With each move, we usually struggle to find our new church home. It’s become a source of tension whenever we learn that we’re being relocated. This time, we all prayed as a family well before we even headed down here that we’d find a church home quickly. We went to a church of one of Munchkin’s friend over Easter Sunday when we were moving some of our things down here, but we knew that it wasn’t right for us.
