Today, we went to both Sunday School and morning service. We all enjoyed the fellowship and learning in Sunday School, and the service was very good. Munchkin sat with us during the service today and liked that much better than the children’s church program. (Our baby is growing up.)
It looks like we’ve found our church home. We’ll continue to attend here and in time, get more involved. They also have an Awana program that we’d like Munchkin to participate in once we get more settled. For now, it feels wonderful to have a regular place to worship.
On a side note, our sermon today was about prayer. He was focusing on praying for our troops and our leaders. He also brought up that we need to be praying for our enemies as well. It’s so important to keep our nation’s leaders (and other nations’ leaders), troops, and our enemies in our prayers. Will you take part in praying today?
It wasn’t that long ago that our Presidents openly prayed with the nation, but now, we can’t even openly pray in our schools or at public functions. Does your family pray when you go out to eat or are you ashamed of what others may think? What does this teach our children? Are we teaching our children the value, importance, and power of prayer?
Prayer can change the world.
so pleased you have found a church where you feel at home
I have heard a lot of good things about Awana
