Thankful Thursday

While I am grateful today, I am also struggling with much frustration as my laptop crashed last night. I hadn’t backed things up (I know bad me) because we hadn’t purchased an external hard drive yet. We were hoping for a good deal. That being said, I am grateful that I still have a computer to use, and I’m praying that we’ll be able to recover what’s on the hard drive of the laptop. Works for Me Wednesday: Strawberry Picking

I admit it. I love strawberry picking (or berry picking period). I love going out to the field and picking those fresh, sweet berries. Of course, you have to sample of few berries as you’re picking to make sure they’re just right. I enjoy making freezer jam (though hulling and slicing all those berries isn’t the most fun activity). Last night, I made my first strawberry pies which were yummy! (I’ll post about that later). Then, there is the traditional strawberry shortcake. Yum! And don’t forget to freeze some berries for later. This year, I’ll be flash freezing sliced strawberries…

Tackle It Tuesday: Unpacking

Have you ever wished after a move that you could just snap your fingers and everything would magically be put away? Well, we’re definitely at that point here. Having a child greatly affected our marriage in that adding a little one to your life means less “me” time and less “couple” time. It means that someone else comes first.
