Munchkin’s Creative Side

What do you do when you’re still too sick to play, but you’re feeling well enough not to want to just sit around? Munchkin likes to do crafts and draw. Today, she decided to draw some animal pictures. She went to the Jan Brett website to watch the tutorial on drawing animals, but she didn’t like doing the step-by-step process. Instead, she looked at the finished product and drew her version from there. Here is the finished result of the dolphins. Well, I think I spoke a little too soon about Munchkin being on the road to recovery. While she is doing better, she is still pretty sick. I’m sure the crazy weather isn’t helping anything at all. We go from the 80s to the 50s, sunny to rainy… You get the idea. We’re both dealing with sinus headaches and allergy issues as a nice layer of yellow pollen is covering everything. It’s rather frustrating as she’ll be feeling ok for a while and then she’ll crash. We’re trying some nice hot herbal tea today to see if that will help…

A Glimmer of Light

Munchkin has begun the road to recovery. I was relieved to finally see a good bit of improvement today. She actually ate 2 meals, and she sat up and colored for a while. I was working my way through a couple of boxes of misc stuff from the attic, and I came across a couple of coloring books. She eagerly took one of them and began to color. Now, this may not seem like much, but considering how sick she has been it seemed wonderful to me. Munchkin missed baseball practice this evening; they were suppose to get their jerseys…

The Lord Provides

Munchkin is still sick. It was a beautiful day today, so I had her sit outside for a little while to get some fresh air. I also opened the windows and aired out the house. This beautiful weather was a true blessing after all of the rainy, dreary days that we’ve been having. Another blessing arrived in the form of an anonymous care package. This brightened Munchkin’s spirits and put a huge grin on her face when she saw personalized cards for her and a stuffed animal.
