A Glimmer of Light

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

Munchkin has begun the road to recovery. I was relieved to finally see a good bit of improvement today. She actually ate 2 meals, and she sat up and colored for a while. I was working my way through a couple of boxes of misc stuff from the attic, and I came across a couple of coloring books. She eagerly took one of them and began to color. Now, this may not seem like much, but considering how sick she has been it seemed wonderful to me.

Munchkin missed baseball practice this evening; they were suppose to get their jerseys and caps tonight. She’ll also be missing her first baseball game tomorrow. She’s bummed about that, but she just doesn’t feel up to it yet. I’d rather her miss a game and get better than play and get worse. Thankfully, she feels the same.

The weather is once again beautiful, so we enjoyed having the fresh air flow through the house. It won’t be too long and we’ll be planting in the garden. We already have fresh herbs growing as I planted those a little while ago in a planter. We have some tomato plants started inside; we’ll move those out shortly. A few beans have been planted outdoors as well. I can’t wait to get more veggies in the ground. Mmmm… garden fresh veggies.

Love your daughter’s ambition, and how fun planning for Daddy’s return! My boys loved planning that. 🙂

    Glad she’s feeling better, too.

Havent’ decided on our garden–we will be out of town for a while in June, not sure if I want to leave stuff to dry out. 🙂
