More Party Preparations and Homeschool Fun

Posted in Family, and Homemaking

Our day started off with house work and schoolwork.  Once again, Munchkin did most of her work on her own, so I could get some tasks done around the house.  After she was done with her school work, she got dressed and ate some lunch.  (Yes, we often stay in our pjs in the morning hours.) After lunch, we headed over to the park for park day with our homeschool group.  Munchkin gave one of her friends an invite to her party.  (I had already talked to her mom, but she hadn’t received an actual invite yet.)  It was nice…

WFMW: Handcrafted Personalized Gift Boxes

Posted in Homemaking

When Munchkin found out that a young friend of hers was going to have a birthday, she thought about what would be a cool gift for him.  She decided to make him something out of polymer clay.  She ended up making a truck and a shark, but she didn’t have the perfect container to put her gifts in.  We found some small empty boxes and pulled out the scrapbook paper.  After we took apart the boxes, she picked out paper that would go with the gifts, and we carefully traced the box shape onto the paper.  We taped the paper…
