Being Prepared to Share the Truth

On Friday, D had a rare opportunity to discuss logic and the Bible with someone from work.  Due to some situations that were happening, they had a sit down to talk over various things and somehow the conversation took a turn towards logic, philosophy, and the Bible.  Because of the recent homeschool convention that we attended with Ken Ham and many of our family studies that we’ve been doing, the answers and logic were readily available to him.  Religious conversations in the military workplace have to be handled with caution, so it’s not often that he’s able to openly converse at such an in-depth level.  It really only happens when someone else brings up the topic.

It had been a rough week on many levels for D, and he was certainly ready to come home at a decent time on Friday.  Instead, he was blessed with a wonderful opportunity which he embraced.  Yes, he got home quite late that day, but he knew that I wouldn’t mind given the nature of the reason for the delay.  In fact, I was thrilled that he had the opportunity, and we spent a good time talking about it.  It was good for Munchkin to hear the importance of being prepared to share the truth as we never know when the opportunity will present itself.
