I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty,
And on Your wondrous works. ~Psalm 145:5
Whenever I see a glorious sunset, I can’t help but be reminded that we serve an awesome God. He has given us so much beauty in nature. This beauty gives us a glimpse of Him. If corrupted earthly things can be so beautiful, can you imagine how awe-inspiring our eternal home in heaven will be?
How amazing it will be to be living in His presence – the presence of a God who loved us so much that He was willing to sacrifice His Son for us. A God who knew that we, as humans, we turn our back on Him. It’s a love that I can’t truly comprehend. In all honesty, I don’t think I can even completely appreciate it. I am grateful that He accepts me for who I am – faults and all.
