3 in 30: February Week 2

Project 365 – #042

February – the month of love.  Little did I know as I set my goals for this month that only a week into the challenge I would be sitting on the sidelines while my daughter took care of me.

3 in 30I set goals for February that would allow me to show love in my relationship with Christ, my relationship with my family, and my relationship with myself.  I ended up not really accomplishing the goals that I had set up for myself this week.

Instead, I found that I watched my daughter’s love for me shine through as she displayed her servant’s heart.  Having to rest allowed me to spend more quality time with my girl.  We had some good talks and some good laughs as we cuddled, watched tv, and played games.

Sometimes, the planned goals need to be set aside for a time.  During this time, it seems that the Lord usually starts working in my life to get my attention and accomplish His goals.  Obviously this week, it was more important for me to spend time with Munchkin than it was for me to work on my fitness goals or my housekeeping goals.

Maybe next week I’ll be able to get back into my original goals for this month, but for now, I’ll enjoy this special time with Munchkin, and I’ll focus on resting in order to feel better.

It’s not too late to join in on the 3 in 30 Challenge.

  2. Bless your heart! You know, Jesus always knows what we need. And sometimes what we think we need…isn’t what He knows we need. 😉 I think you’re focusing on the best thing right now, too!

Sometimes things have a way of working out & the Lord knows when we need a break from day to day, goals, chores…..just doing nothing is the answer some of the time & it sounds like you out your time to good use! Munchkin will be grown before you know it & the moments you make know will last an eternity! Feel better & God Bless 🙂

  8. Probably because of the nature of your goals you are more open to see the same sort of thing you desired being displayed in your very own daughter. Bless you as you heal. Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving encouraging words! Have a great week.
