Mary Did You Know?

Posted in Christian Life, and Holidays

Nativity Song

Can you imagine angels coming and talking to you?  Can you imagine being a young, unwed woman who just found out that you are going to be giving birth to the prophesied Messiah?  Mary had probably heard about the Messiah’s coming all of her life, but never, even in her wildest dreams, could she have imagined that she would be the mother of the Messiah.  Even though she was, most likely, overwhelmed by the thought of giving birth as an unwed mother and being the mother of the Savior of her people, she gracefully accepted the Lord’s will for her life.

We can’t always see what the Lord has planned for our lives, but we can know that He can use everything for His purposes.  During this CHRISTmas season, I am reminded that great things can come from small moments in our lives.  Little things can make a huge difference in our lives and the lives of those around us.  If we listen to the Lord and follow His will for our lives, we can accomplish great things for the betterment of His kingdom.

Mary Did You Know

sung by Clay Aiken

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day walk on water?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has come to make you new?
This Child that you delivered will soon deliver you.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will give sight to a blind man?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy will calm the storm with His hand?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy has walked where angels trod?
When you kiss your little Baby you kissed the face of God?

Mary did you know.. Ooo Ooo Ooo

The blind will see.
The deaf will hear.
The dead will live again.
The lame will leap.
The dumb will speak
The praises of The Lamb.

Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary, did you know
that your Baby Boy would one day rule the nations?
Did you know
that your Baby Boy is heaven’s perfect Lamb?
The sleeping Child you’re holding is the Great, I Am.
