Basketball Award Ceremony

Saturday was an up and down sort of day. We had to drop D off at the airport in the morning. Thankfully, he’ll only be gone for the week, but his absence always changes the overall feeling in our home. Munchkin was in tears as we walked back to the truck. The Game

Saturday morning, Munchkin had her final basketball game of the season. The league were holding a mini tournament. If Munchkin’s team won their game, they would play in the finals. Her team went in as the underdogs against an undefeated team. No one expected them to win. They didn’t even expect the game to be close, but everyone was there to cheer them on. The game began. Munchkin’s team came out with high energy and scored the first points of the game. This energized the team. As the game progressed, their confidence was building. The score went back and forth…

First Basketball Game

Saturday was the first basketball game of the season. Munchkin is playing on one of the base basketball teams, and Daddy is her coach. She’s thrilled because there are 3 other girls on her team. Yes, it’s blurry, but I still love this picture. Munchkin’s trying to steal the ball which she did do successfully several times during the game. Hustling back to play defense. Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Munchkin is in her last year of coach-pitch baseball in our local homeschool league. This year, she is really starting to get into it. I’m sure it helps that Daddy is home as well. We had beautiful, sunny, warm weather for today’s game.
