Munchkin’s 1st Basketball Game

Munchkin is playing Upward Basketball through our church. Daddy is the assistant coach. Today, they had their first basketball game, and Munchkin was pretty nervous. There are very few girls playing, so that makes her a little uncomfortable. Since she has never played basketball before, she didn’t know what to expect for this first game. Chilly Trophy Day

The final soccer game of the 2008 season was very chilly, in the 30s. We were all bundled up and many of us couldn’t sit still as it was just too cold. The kids played well, and Munchkin’s team ended their season with a win. After the game, they had the trophy ceremony for the kids. Munchkin’s coach was a teenage girl. This was her first year coaching (she also played at her own age level), and she did an amazing job with the kids. The kids all enjoyed her being their coach. More Soccer Fun

It was a cold, rainy morning as we headed over to the soccer field. Today was team picture day. It took a lot of work, but the team finally made it together (minus 2 players that forgot it was picture day) and had their pictures taken. By that point, the rain had stopped. After pictures, the team got ready for the game by warming up a bit. Although it was a chilly day, the kids seemed to play better. They weren’t cold.
