The baseball season has officially begun. We’ve been having practices for the past 2 weeks, but this week was the first game. D is coaching, and I’m helping him out. We also have several other parents that are helping with the team. I’m thrilled with the group of kids on our team, and with the parents who are actively involved. What a huge blessing! Sometimes learning hurts

Today was Munchkin’s final soccer game of the season. It was a beautiful sunny morning with a nice breeze to keep it from being too hot. Munchkin’s team played hard, worked together, and won their final game. It was nice to end the season on a positive note. On Tuesday, they will have the award banquet. After the game, we headed home to eat some lunch before heading back out. I decided to make something quick, easy, and light. I ended up making lots of sandwich wraps because Munchkin and D were rather hungry. We relaxed for a little while…

Fun in the Sun: Soccer & Car Show

Today, it was absolutely gorgeous outside. First thing this morning we headed to the field for Munchkin’s soccer game. The kids played really hard today, and that hard work payed off with the first win of the season. Munchkin was tired but thrilled. After the game, we headed home for an early lunch because we were headed out to a local car show ~ Midnight at the Oasis. This isn’t a little car show. It’s absolutely HUGE. Soccer and Perseverance

Munchkin has so much fun playing sports. It’s a good way for her to get exercise, stay in shape, make friends, and learn teamwork. It also helps her work on persevering through various challenges. Working through these little challenges help her learn how to face bigger challenges in life. In today’s soccer game, Munchkin was hit with several balls that were kicked quite hard. There were a few tears shed, but she kept going. She worked through the pain and continued playing. Don’t be afraid to give your best to what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one…
