Last night, due to some unknown issues, I had to do a factory reset on my smartphone. I set out to make sure all of my pics and what not were all backed up “just in case”. As I mentioned yesterday, D is a big kid at heart which means that he really enjoys putting together Lego sets with Munchkin. Before his surgery, Munchkin and I found a really cool Lego racing set in the clearance area at Walmart. It was a great price, so we snatched it up. I debated whether I would wait until Christmas or allow them to have fun with it after D’s surgery. We knew the time would come when we would need to seek new homes for our girls (guinea pigs). We wanted to wait until they were old enough to comfortably be away from their mom if that is what the new adoptive situation necessitated. Unfortunately, knowing the time will come doesn’t make it any easier when the day actually arrives. Today was the day that we said goodbye to our sweet girls. Munchkin and I like the way this impromptu picture turned out even if it isn’t “perfect”. It just seems to capture her at this point in time. We can’t decide which edit we like best on it. I am so grateful for this sweet young lady.
