In honor of Armed Forces Week, I thought it would be fun to post a couple of pre and post-deployment pictures for Throwback Thursday. The goodbye kiss – before the tears were shed. So, as I wrote yesterday, we found out on Friday that D was being deployed for a year. His package was being put together, and we were getting things in order at our end. As I’m on the phone with our bank on Tuesday evening, D walks in and asks what I’m doing. I hold up the card, and he asks if it’s deployment related. I nod, and he tells me that he’s not going. Time for Another Deployment

On Friday, we learned that we were about to face another year long deployment. **sigh** This is the second time that we’ve moved only to have Daddy deploy shortly after moving. There is something about him going to a billet outside of his MOS that seems to land him in a position to be sent off on a deployment. Gotta love that. In theory, this time around will be easier than last time as he should have regular communication with us. We’ll see how it all plays out as the year passes by. I truly believe that the Lord knew…
