A Week at the Beach

Project 365 – #073 Our trailer backed up to the beach, so we could literally walk just a few feet and be on the beach. This was our view. The campground is also a marina, so we watched many sailboats come and go as we strolled the beach. While this beach was nice, we did head over to the other side of the island, so we could enjoy the rolling ocean waves. Project 365 – #071 My blog has been on auto-pilot all week long. Today is the first day where I am actually posting live since last Friday. Why? Our time in the desert camping over New Years was a bit chilly, but it was extremely relaxing and enjoyable. Due to being plagued with migraines and headaches the last month or so, I’ve needed more rest than normal. Not only was I able to get some much needed rest, but D was able to get an excellent break from the day-to-day grind at work. We had simple meals and used mainly disposable plates. New Years Eve 2010

It’s hard to believe that another year has come to an end. We will be spending our New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day out in the desert. It seems fitting to be ending 2010 and starting 2011 out camping in the desert and spending quality time together as a family. We plan on doing some riding and hiking as well as just relax and play games. I’m taking along some books to get some reading done. Relaxing Camping Trip

To make things relaxing and enjoyable for all, we kept things very simple this time out. Even though we took out our trailer, I packed like we were heading out tent camping. Our meals were very simple with very little prep work necessary. D made his yummy eggs, bacon, and fried potatoes for breakfast. For our other meals, we just hand sandwiches and grilled cheese with fruit and chips.
