Gluten Free Herb Bread

Posted in Gluten Free, and Homemaking

This bread works wonderfully for a flat bread or for a stuffing bread. I use the basic gluten free multi-grain roll recipe and adds some herbs. For my Thanksgiving stuffing bread… 1 Tbsp Oregano 1 Tbsp Basil 1 tsp Garlic Powder 1 Tbsp Parsley 1 tsp Onion Powder Instead of putting the rolls into rings, I line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper and then spread the bread mixture evenly into the pan. This will create a flat bread type of loaf which works nicely for stuffing cubes. Allow the bread to rise in the oven for 1 hour…

Gluten Free Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits with Orange Icing

Posted in Gluten Free, and Homemaking

Time for a tasty treat that works well for breakfast or just a snack. While the biscuits themselves are not really sweet, adding the icing does up the sweetness factor. Gluten Free Cinnamon Raisin Biscuits with Orange Icing Ingredients: 3 cups Pamela’s Baking Mix 1 cup vanilla almond milk (I used shelf-stable Silk brand) 3/4 cup butter, melted 1/4 cup coconut sugar 2 Tbsp cinnamon 1/2 cup raisins (I used 1/4 golden raisins and 1/4 cup regular raisins.) 1/4 cup powdered sugar orange juice 1/4 tsp vanilla Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F In a large mixing bowl, combine…

Gluten Free Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies

Posted in Gluten Free

Peanut butter and chocolate are a classic flavor combination. I love combining them together to make flavor-filled gluten free peanut butter chocolate chunk cookies. In an effort to create a healthier cookie for us to enjoy, I started tossing together ingredients and ended up with a delicious peanut butter chocolate chunk cookie with healthy ingredients. The problem? I didn’t record what I did, so I set off to recreate the cookies. One of these days, I’ll remember to write things down as I make the cookies. It will make my life much easier especially when someone asks for the cookie…

Chocolate Cherry Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

Posted in Gluten Free, Homemaking, and Photography

I decided that I wanted a slightly different cake for my birthday.  Cheesecake sounded good, but a regular cake also sounded good.  I thought it would be tasty to combine the two. I started off with a gluten free Betty Crocker devil’s food cake mix and baked it as normal in a round cake pan.  While the cake cooled, I made up a modified cream cheese frosting.  Since I wanted it to be more like cheesecake, I did not make it as sweet. “Cheesecake” Frosting 1 stick butter (salted) 1 block cream cheese 1 cup powered sugar 1/2 cup heavy…

Gluten Free Cheese Bread

Posted in Gluten Free, Homemaking, and Photography

Project 365 – #183 I’ve seen these called Brazilian Cheese Puffs, but I made ours a little differently than the traditional cheese puffs.  These are naturally gluten free due to the ingredients.  I love how quick and easy these are to make. You literally just toss the ingredients in the blender, blend, pour, and bake.  Simple, easy, delicious.  These little bites are packed with flavor. After my sister had these at a restaurant, she called me to see if I could come up with a recipe that would work.  I hunted here and there for different recipes.  In the end,…
