Chocolate Cherry Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting

I decided that I wanted a slightly different cake for my birthday.  Cheesecake sounded good, but a regular cake also sounded good.  I thought it would be tasty to combine the two. Letting Go of Our Plans

D’s second back surgery has been quite the reminder that all the planning in the world doesn’t mean a whole lot.  We always thought that D would be an active duty Marine up until retirement, and then we’d find a permanent home.  It looks like the Lord may have something else in mind.  We just don’t know for sure at this point in time.  All we know right now is that the Lord has a plan for our lives, so we’re going to trust Him to guide us and direct us.
