Studying the Classics with Excellence in Literature

Incorporating studying the classics into the homeschool year is not always an easy thing to do.  The idea of reading and analyzing the classics was one of those intimidating tasks that seems to cause me to want to put off even trying because I didn’t even know where to start.  I wasn’t even sure how to break it down into manageable size pieces which is rather amusing as that type of thing isn’t usually an issue for me.  I tend to jump into things and then get a little overwhelmed.  **grin**  Yet, the whole literature analysis thing just stopped me cold. Back Surgery: Take Dos

Project 365 – #297 D’s back surgery was scheduled for today.  Originally, it was set up for us to arrive at the hospital at 9:00.  This weekend, we were told that it had been rescheduled for 1:30, and we’d need to be there at noon.  Because D had suffered from migraines for most of the weekend, we had planned on spending some quality family time together the morning of the surgery.  As we were getting ready to do some things together, we receive a call from the hospital saying that we need to head in asap as they’re going to…
