An Afternoon Drive

Today, D drove for the first time since his surgery.  Since he really enjoys driving, this is a big deal for him.  We didn’t go very far, and I was there “just in case”.  Gradually, we’ll build him back up to his normal driving and what not.  It’s a slower process than he would like, but he’s doing well.  When it comes time for him to head back to work, it looks like he’ll actually be ready this time around.  Last time, I had a few text messages from a Marine saying the I needed to get him back to…

Last night, due to some unknown issues, I had to do a factory reset on my smartphone.  I set out to make sure all of my pics and what not were all backed up “just in case”.  The fun thing about that whole ordeal was that I saw some of the pics on my phone that I took over the summer which I had forgotten about.  I came across this picture of Munchkin and her cousins. Happy Veteran’s Day 2011

Lego Racing

As I mentioned yesterday, D is a big kid at heart which means that he really enjoys putting together Lego sets with Munchkin.  Before his surgery, Munchkin and I found a really cool Lego racing set in the clearance area at Walmart.  It was a great price, so we snatched it up.  I debated whether I would wait until Christmas or allow them to have fun with it after D’s surgery.  Ultimately, I decided that it would be a nice thing for them to work on together while he was recovering.  (Yes, we’re trying to keep Daddy’s mind occupied during…
