This morning, Munchkin had her baseball team pictures. Since D is the coach, he normally gets a team picture. This time, they allowed the coach (if they had a child on the team) to get a “buddy shot” with their child instead of the team picture. Having Fun at the Ballgame

Munchkin had her second baseball game today. It was another warm, sunny day as we headed to the field. The idea was that I would just sit and watch the game. It didn’t play out that way. I ended up helping with the kids in the dugout, so I came home after the game and immediately elevated and iced my ankle. Munchkin’s team played well again this week. 1st Game of the 2010 Baseball Season

The baseball season has officially begun. We’ve been having practices for the past 2 weeks, but this week was the first game. D is coaching, and I’m helping him out. We also have several other parents that are helping with the team. I’m thrilled with the group of kids on our team, and with the parents who are actively involved. What a huge blessing! This year is a bit different for us. In the past, we played in a HUGE homeschool league. This year, we’re playing in the base league. We have 2 teams, so we’ll be playing the same…

Family Day and More…

Last night, I stayed up way too late working on Munchkin’s cake and other party decorations. Munchkin hasn’t seen the cake yet. She’ll see it for the first time at the party. I’m pleased with how it turned out even though I have the most difficult time writing on cakes. This morning, we worked on cleaning the house some more and doing some decorating before heading over to family day. They had two inflatable slide/bounce houses for the kids and lots of food. Yuma Air Show 2010

This morning, we headed out to the Yuma Air Show. It’s nice because it’s right here on base. Plus, D was able to drive us right over to the entrance. Munchkin and I walked around and looked at everything. D was working, so he was only able to walk with us for a few minutes before he took us back home. Munchkin and I are spending the rest of the day relaxing while D is working. It’s never fun when D has to work on the weekends, but thankfully, it doesn’t happen that often these days.
