Very Hot Baseball Game

Posted in Military Life

Today’s baseball game was very hot.  The temps were over 100 degrees.  Several of the players attended a lock-in on Friday night, so they came into the game with no sleep.  That didn’t help the situation.  In the end, the players (on both teams) were glad when the very hot game was over.

Lest We Forget…

Lest We Forget – Their Sacrifices Made Your destiny was fixed and carved in marble stone. Your fate changed time to an instant of thought, To save lives beyond that of your own. His Truth is Marching On

Our homeschool group did the curriculum that was available through Bead for Life.  (Munchkin did…

Posted in Family, and Military Life

We woke to a warm, windy day.  The trees were swaying to and fro.  Dust devils swirled around.  The sun’s heat baked the red dirt on the baseball field.  The soft billowy breeze gave some reprieve from the heat of the sun beating down on the players and fans.  Shade was scarce.  Water was dearly needed.  The teams battled back and forth to the very end.  Hands were shaken.  Congrats were given.  More than one person walked away a little pink or red and feeling rather parched. The cool ac welcomed us home.  The icy water refreshed our parched lips. …
