Today’s baseball game was very hot. The temps were over 100 degrees. Several of the players attended a lock-in on Friday night, so they came into the game with no sleep. That didn’t help the situation. In the end, the players (on both teams) were glad when the very hot game was over.

That is hot! Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate Munchkin. Better you kids running in that heat than the adults. Munchkin I hope your folks take an umbrella to give them some shade, because doesn’t look like there is any in those bleachers. I got a really bad sunburn one time at a game, so bad it blistered and scarred some on my upper arms/shoulders. So encourage the folks to take an umbrella or at least a big floppy hat to cover their heads, so their scalps don’t burn and make them more at risk of getting melanoma (a really bad skin cancer) which can hide under the hair.
The kids have shade in the dugout. Most of the parents bring chairs and sit in the shade. I’m in the dugout with the kiddos while Daddy is out on the field with the kids. (It’s coach pitch, so he’s either pitching or standing behind the catcher.) We all wear good sunscreen and drink plenty of water.
