If you’ve looked over my blog, you know that I’ve been doing a lot of planting and work in my yard. About a week ago, a new group in our area was started for swapping/sharing plants. I thought this was a wonderful idea, and joined the group. Today, I picked up at least 10 Rose of Sharon plants for free. One of the ladies lives very close to me and was giving them away. Munchkin Garden

It was still a beautiful day today even though the temps had dropped back down to the 60s. We worked on the garden some more. I moved the seating area that I had put down by the water over by the shed by munchkin’s garden. You can see munchkin’s garden next to the shed in the background. The 2 end tables I picked up today for free. They were originally black and gold. I spray painted them white to match the other pieces. (We still need to finish painting the benches. This year, we’re really trying to grow our own fruits and veggies. While we haven’t had much success in years past, we’re hoping that square foot gardening/container gardening will yield us some crops. My daughter loves to help with gardening, but the large tools are too big for her. Today, I found real, kid size gardening tools. She was in heaven and had to test them out as soon as we arrived home. Now, the reason for our outing was to allow her to pick out the plants for her very own garden.
