Tackle It Tuesday: The Kitchen

Posted in Homemaking

It’s time for another Tackle it Tuesday over at 5 minutes for Mom. Last week, I was able to make the kitchen safely gluten-free (minus some baking things that I am not going to toss). This week, I’m going to be tackling finishing up the organization of the kitchen. We still don’t have the kitchen completely under control from the move. Since we spend a lot of time in the eat-in kitchen, it really needs to be finished. As D says, one room at a time, we’ll get the house done. For more tackles, head on over to 5 Minutes…

Make It From Scratch Carnival #18

Posted in Homemaking

The entries are in over at Stop the Ride for the Make it from Scratch carnival. There are all kinds of yummy treats and creative ideas to see this week. You can see my entry here. Munchkin and I had a lot of fun making our own pizzas. Adding the herbs to the crust made it quite yummy. Other than the dough being a little more sticky, you couldn’t even tell that it was gluten free! To find out how you can participate in the Make It From Scratch Carnival, head on over to Stop the Ride.

Sewing Camp

Anywho, she had to bring her own scissors, pins, and a pin cushion. Everything else is supplied. They take it at the pace of the participants, so who knows what they’ll be doing by the end of the week. Today, she came home with a pillow and a tote bag that she had made. She’s so proud of herself, and we’re proud of her too!! They’ll be making boxers tomorrow. I…
