Tackle It Tuesday: Whole House!

So much for tackling things one room at a time. We’re having company at the end of the week, so it’s major tackling time!!! I need to finish up the kitchen that I wasn’t able to finish last week. Finish tackling the living room. Finish tackling our room. Finish tackling the study/classroom/guest room. Straighten up the sewing/exercise room. After completing all of that I’ll need to vacuum and clean things up a bit. D will be helping by taking care of the travel trailer which will probably guest sleeping for at least some of our guests. Sewing Camp Ends…

…alas, my little girl is highly disappointed that sewing camp is over. (She also doesn’t want me to post pictures of the boxers she made yesterday or the “big shorts” that she made today. GF Breakfast Bars

As you can see, this was a big hit with D. I needed a different idea for something for breakfast. I decided to use a play off of baked oatmeal. I used the Bob’s Red Mill Mighty Tasty GF Hot Cereal instead of oatmeal. Ingredients: 1/2 C butter, melted1 C brown sugar3 C Mighty Tasty GF Hot Cereal (or oatmeal)1 1/2 C milk w/2 tsp lemon juice (or yogurt or buttermilk)1 tsp cinnamon2 eggs, beaten2 tsp baking powder1 tsp saltOptional: raisins, nuts, chopped apples… Directions:1. Here are the pictures from yesterday’s sewing class.She won’t let me post pictures from today’s class as “it’s not finished yet, mom”. Today, they worked on a placemat quilt. They sewed all the squares together and sewed the batting and quilt backing on it. They just need to finish it up tomorrow. I’ll post pictures once I’m allowed to post them. lol!
