I admit that I’m rather proud of Munchkin’s design for this year’s t-shirts for the ranch fundraiser. Every year, the ranch sells t-shirts to raise funds for food and medical care for the horses. This year, I was in charge of making the t-shirts, and Munchkin came up with the design. This is the back of the t-shirt. The front features the ranch logo. We used a bunch of different colors for the t-shirts as well as the color of the ink. It was a time consuming process, but if it raises funds for the ranch I think the end…

Animal Husbandry: Floating Teeth
Posted in Family, and Homeschooling
Every now and then, you run across an individual who has been doing something for many years that is willing to share his/her knowledge with others. Today was one of those days for Munchkin and myself. Early this morning, we headed over to meet up with a equine dentist so he could show us how teeth floating was done on horses. Each of our horses had their turn with the dentist. Munchkin even had the opportunity to give it a try on her horse. It turned into a fun, hands-on field trip that went along with what Munchkin is learning…
30 Days of Thankfulness: Days 6-14

We can cast all of our cares/concerns upon Him and He will listen. We…
Every year, I enjoy participating in the Gratitude Challenge over at my friend Brenda’s blog. This year, I’m also joining up with a fellow Mosaic Reviews team member in her 30 Days of Thanks challenge. I may not post on my blog every day because life happens, but I am going to make sure I am daily counting my blessings. These types of purposeful challenges help me think of something each day for which I can praise the Lord. I know, from past experience, that some days are easier than others. I admit that it can be rough to be…
We now live in an area where rock climbing is a big activity. Because of this, the base has a really nice rock wall climbing area in the gym. Daddy has been doing this as part of his regular workout during the week, and he wanted Munchkin to try it out with him. The gym has limited hours for kids (under 16) climbing. They can only climb during family hours on Friday night, Saturday morning, or Sunday morning. Because of his work schedule, it didn’t work out for Munchkin to try it out until Friday night. After Daddy got home…
