Just Keeping On

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

Many people have said that they don’t know how I do it. They say that they could never do what I do. I tend to think they’re wrong as God gives you the strength to do what you need to do. It’s not easy, and I miss my beloved very much. I just do what I need to do with the Lord’s help. Each day, Munchkin and I wake up, and we cuddle. In the evening, before bed, we cuddle. Munchkin has her Daddy doll that comes downstairs with her each morning and goes to bed with her at night.…

Keys for Kids

I had a comment asking more about Munchkin’s Keys for Kids devotionals, so I thought I’d tell you a little about it. Keys for Kids is a ministry of CBH. Keys for Kids offers their devotionals free online, by email, or by mail. They also have an index of their older devotionals online. Online, it is available using KJV, NIV, or NKJV. The online version had a button to press for the devotional to be read to the child. There are also other activities available for the kids online. These are short devotionals. There is a short story, application questions,…

Works for Me Wednesday: Family Mail Center

Since D has been gone, I’ve been looking for different ways to encourage Munchkin and brighten her day. She has also been helping out a lot around the house when I’m feeling under the weather, so I wanted a fun way to say thank you to her. When we went to Target while on our trip, I saw this cute pink small mailbox in the dollar section (love that area!), so I picked it up. She loved it. It turns out that she liked it so much that when we returned home, she wanted to get one for me as…

Time Together

Posted in Family, and Thoughts

Munchkin has needed more cuddle time and play time together lately. Today was no different. We spent lots of time cuddling, watching movies, and playing games. It was a really fun, relaxing day. We’re back on schedule for our schooling time as well. We finally have our routine back in place. It’s nice to have things starting to act “normal” again. I think Munchkin finds a lot of comfort in our routines. Being away from home and following other people’s routines really did not sit well with her. It’s funny how we become creatures of comfort very quickly. Munchkin has…

Thankful Thursday

A child reminds us that playtime is an essential part of our daily routine. ~~ Author Unknown I am daily reminded what a blessing my Munchkin is to me. The Lord has blessed me with just what I need during each phase of my life. For this, I am eternally grateful. As I have been under the weather this week, my dear child has helped me out by heating up heating pads for me and walking on my back. She’s given me lots of hugs and kisses and made me laugh. Laughter truly is the best medicine, isn’t it? I…
