Lowes Build & Grow Clinics

Posted in Family, Thoughts, and Thrifty Ideas

Every other Saturday, Lowes hosts a free Build & Grow Clinic for kids. The kids get to build different projects (for free). They are given safety goggles, an apron, and the project. Upon completion of the project, they receive a certificate of completion and a patch to put on their apron. This month, they are featuring a Memory Box (for Mother’s Day) on May 10th and a See It Grow Planter on May 24th. We usually just pick ours up and take them with us. Today’s Baseball Game

Posted in Family, and Homeschooling

Well, the temps are slowly creeping up and the games are getting hotter. I have a slight sunburn to show for it too. The game went well today. The funny thing is neither team of kids has any idea who won today. They were all having too much fun just playing. Here are a few pictures of Munchkin from today’s game. As you can see, she’s feeling a bit better than last week. Running to second base: Hanging out at second base: Running to third base: Hanging out at third base: Whew! I made it home!!

Here’s the thinking behind this tv free week: Why Turn off the TV? Television cuts into family time, harms our children’s ability to read and succeed in school, and contributes to unhealthy lifestyles and…

(I found her late this afternoon when I went to give them their greens. She hadn’t been sick, so it was unexpected. There is nothing that could have been done.) Our dog and the other guinea pig are rather confused right now as they don’t know what’s going on.…
