Munchkin had decided that she wanted to invite her friends over for an ornament making party. We have lots of different Christmas traditions including new Christmas pjs, making Christmas goodies, doing an Advent activity, making ornaments and crafts…  Some of these things are just fun, family activities while others help us stay focused on Christ. Advent Reading:  We continued our reading of Jotham’s Journey.  The reading this week had lots of surprises and excitement.  We look forward to our nightly readings and can’t wait to see what happens next.  This week’s focus was on God being in control even when it doesn’t seem like it. One of the crazy things with being in the military is that you never know what type/size of house you will be in next.  What works at one house won’t necessarily work at the next house.  You end up with various decorations, pictures, curtains, and what not that worked in the old house but didn’t work in the new.  You’re always looking for inexpensive ways to make your house look like your home.
