Poor Sick Puppy

Posted in Family, and Photography

Project 365 – #094 Our furry family member has been ill since Thursday.  We’ve had many long night as I play nurse to him.  Plus, D has been tossing and turning due to back pain.  Needless to day, sleep has eluded me lately.  I’m exhausted. We were pretty concerned for a time because he was not himself, and he was very ill.  We had an installer come to the house.  Puppy just sniffed him, laid down, and watched him the whole time he was there.  Definitely, not normal in the least. On a more positive note, puppy (who is actually…

Rising Temps

Project 365 – #091 I blinked and the temperatures went soaring.  It’s hard to believe it’s only April 1st when I look at the thermometer and step outside.  (And no, it’s not raining nor is there a chance of rain. I’m not sure why the thermometer does that.)  Earlier this week, we received a notice that the base pools would be opening today.  Yep, the summer temps are starting to creep in already.  The air conditioning is on full blast as I try to keep the upstairs at a comfortable temperature for sleeping. Running the ac on the 1st of…

Ring the Bells of Heaven

Project 365 – #085 Ring the bells of Heaven! There is joy today, For a soul, returning from the wild! See, the Father meets him out upon the way, Welcoming His weary, wandering child. Ring the bells of Heaven! There is joy today, For the wanderer now is reconciled; Yes, a soul is rescued from his sinful way, And is born anew a ransomed child. Ring the bells of Heaven! Spread the feast today! Angels, swell the glad triumphant strain! Tell the joyful tidings, bear it far away! For a precious soul is born again. Glory! Glory! How the angels…

Everything Has a Time

Project 365 – #083 To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, And a time to gather stones; A time to embrace, And a time to refrain from embracing;…

Cherishing Life at Home

Project 365 – #077 Sometimes, when I’m away on vacation, I get caught up in the simplicity of being away from it all.  The responsibilities are less (even if you’re still cooking meals and cleaning), and we don’t have all of the outside activities.  It’s easy to idealize the situation. Walks on beaches ~ Playing Games ~ Relaxing Who wouldn’t want it all to remain the same?  A simplistic, easier lifestyle tends to call out to all of us – especially when “real” life holds many obligations. Vacation comes to an end.  We pack up our things and return home. …
