Mary Did You Know?

Posted in Christian Life, and Holidays

Can you imagine angels coming and talking to you?  Can you imagine being a young, unwed woman who just found out that you are going to be giving birth to the prophesied Messiah?  Mary had probably heard about the Messiah’s coming all of her life, but never, even in her wildest dreams, could she have imagined that she would be the mother of the Messiah.  Even though she was, most likely, overwhelmed by the thought of giving birth as an unwed mother and being the mother of the Savior of her people, she gracefully accepted the Lord’s will for her…

O Holy Night

O Holy Night is one of my favorite CHRISTmas songs. It doesn’t focus on CHRISTmas, but rather, it focuses on the awe and wonder of the Christ child being born.  Before the Messiah was born, there was much talk about when He would come and how He would come.  He was born simply, yet it did great things. Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! ~Psalm 46:10~ Sometimes life can be difficult and filled with trials, yet, the Lord is always with us. Listening to beautiful, soulful music can help quiet our hearts and minds. With the holidays upon us, we need to make sure we take time to be still and listen to the Lord. We don’t want to miss His guidance and comfort in our lives because we were too busy to listen. We need to listen to the Lord and…
