This year, Munchkin is playing on a Christian homeschool soccer league. She’s having a blast learning the game and just getting out there and playing. She has practices on Friday and games on Saturdays. The good news is that Daddy will actually be able to see a game or two before he deploys!! Her season lasts from September to November. So, we start out toasty and end up freezing (or so I’ve been told). Here are a few pictures. We Scored!!!

“My brothern, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. The only thing that I consistently do online each day now is checking my email. Oh, we do go to One Place nightly to listen to the broadcast of Adventures in Odyssey. First place that you look for a book to buy: eBay, Amazon, book sales, paperback swap Favourite homeschool support area: local…

Just a few thoughts…

Thank you for the concern after yesterday’s post, but I really didn’t mean it to be a “down” post. I wasn’t even in a poor mood while writing, just reflective. We’ve been through a previous deployment over there, and we’ve been through many times of separation anywhere from days to weeks to months. This time, it’s just longer which makes it a bit more difficult. Many, many military families have been through much worse. I’m very grateful for all the times that D has been with us. I’m also grateful for all of the men that are going with my…
