Thank you for the concern after yesterday’s post, but I really didn’t mean it to be a “down” post. I wasn’t even in a poor mood while writing, just reflective.
We’ve been through a previous deployment over there, and we’ve been through many times of separation anywhere from days to weeks to months. This time, it’s just longer which makes it a bit more difficult.
Many, many military families have been through much worse. I’m very grateful for all the times that D has been with us. I’m also grateful for all of the men that are going with my hubby this time. They are dedicated to the task at hand which eases my mind greatly. It’s always a good feeling when you know someone has your hubby’s back at all times.
One of the things that I’m most grateful for at times like these is my faith in God. No matter how far away my hubby is or for how long he is gone, God will always be watching over our family. He’s protecting us and giving us the strength, wisdom, and courage that we need to get through each day.
So, as you fall asleep tonight, please say a prayer for all the men and women who are in harms way both here and abroad. And don’t forget to say a prayer for the families that are left behind.
God is good
May he continue to have His protection on you and your family
blessings
my heart always goes out to all families involved with deployments. you are so right we all need to remember to pray more often too.
We owe a debt of gratitude to those who serve our country and their families. It is something too many of us take for granted.
