Several of the wives of the Marines with my hubby decided that they would make stockings for all of the guys in the unit for Christmas. They requested that each family send enough stocking stuffers for each of the guys to their Marine (or Sailor, as there is one). I personally thought this was a very cool idea. Each year, as long as we are home, the Christmas tree goes up on Thanksgiving Day. We enjoy decorating throughout the Thanksgiving weekend. Thanksgiving Day officially marks the beginning of our Christmas season. It is then that we begin playing our Christmas music.
