Our Week at a Glance

Posted in Family, Homeschooling, and Thoughts

Well, homeschooling activities are once again in full swing. It’s funny how we homeschool to have more freedom, but most activities still seem to revolve around the traditional school schedule. The only thing that is different is the time of day that many of the activities take place. This week, we’ll be starting up our 7 day study of weather. We’ll be continuing to work our way through the book of Luke. Munchkin will be doing her daily vocabulary word of the day as well as working on the vocabulary words that go with our weather unit. She is striving…

Mountain Lapbook

Mother Dear has been planning some new curriculum for us, and I am plenty excited to get started on it. This week I hope you’ll share something new you’re using, why you’ve decided to use it, and if you have used it how you like it. Make sure to include the publishing information and where you got it from so others can look into if they like. We’ve pretty much continued…

Remembering September 11, 2001

Posted in Family, Holidays, Homeschooling, and Thoughts

September 11, 2001 — the world as we knew it changed. Our nation came together. We worked together, grieved together, and prayed together. Let us take a moment to remember those who lost their lives on that tragic day. Let us take a moment to celebrate the lives of the heroes that put their lives on the line to save others. Let us take a moment to pray for our country. Munchkin doesn’t remember the events of September 11th as she was too young. Today, we will spend some time reflecting and learning about the events of that day. You…
