Remembering September 11, 2001

Posted in Family, Holidays, Homeschooling, and Thoughts

September 11, 2001 — the world as we knew it changed. Our nation came together. We worked together, grieved together, and prayed together. Let us take a moment to remember those who lost their lives on that tragic day. Let us take a moment to celebrate the lives of the heroes that put their lives on the line to save others. Let us take a moment to pray for our country.

Munchkin doesn’t remember the events of September 11th as she was too young. Today, we will spend some time reflecting and learning about the events of that day. You can find a kids book online here. The National September 11 Memorial and Museum has information for educators. The Pentagon Memorial opens today.

Just wanted to say Semper Fi. Found you through 100 Acre Woods. Both husband and myself are former Marines. Of course (and be sure to tell your husband we said this…) that was BACK IN THE OLD CORPS. 😉 He’ll understand!!

    Peace to you both.
